‘Phase One’ is an 8.5m Alutech Scorpion, built in Western Australia.
Having recently competed her 10 year out of water survey, every thing is up to date and completely compliant to AMSA requirements and regulations for passenger vessels. ‘Phase One’ is surveyed to carry 8 persons including crew.
The vessel has been fitted out as an extremely versatile and capable boat, being able to transform easily from a snorkel dive boat to a full on offshore fishing charter boat.
‘Phase On’ has recently undergone a cleverly thought out refit enabling us to cater for all types of adventures. The scuba tank rack slides out and makes way for a huge fishing esky to slot into its place. So whatever your adventure requirements are the answer is ‘yes we can, no problem’
The centre console has walkways ether side to allow easy access from bow to stem from both port and starboard sides.
The huge storage space on board means we can carry all the snorkel and dive equipment under the enclosed box seats in the bow. All the safety equipment under the large box seat behind the centre console which also has a large 80 lite 12v fridge for bottles of water, soft drinks and beer that can be purchased on board.
‘Phase One’ was constructed with six watertight compartments each side and flotation foam under the deck. This means that although we are chartering offshore we are not required to carry a life raft because we are one big unsinkable life raft.
Powered by a brand new 250 Honda outboard we have performance, reliability and comfort. The Honda outboards are renowned for being quiet so our passengers can chat to each other, and at cruise speed Of 22 knots we are on the outer reef in under an hour.
If the weather turns for the worst do not worry. The whole rear of the vessel can be completely enclosed so everyone stay’s dry and comfortable.
